Before you come to us for treatment, it's important that you prepare yourself so that you get the most out of your stay, whether you are a patient or a relative.
During your stay you will be able to meet other people in the same situation as you. Our impression is that our patients have a lot to give each other both of practical everyday tips and motivation.

What should you bring?
Whether you are on a day care or a rehabilitation stay, it is advisable to pack toiletries and proper clothes for your stay. Here are some tips for what to bring.
The LHL Hospital Gardermoen has a wide range of patients undergoing examination and health assessments, treatments, surgical procedures and rehabilitation. It is therefore very important that we keep the hospital free from multi-resistant bacteria, and otherwise keep the hospital environment as clean as possible to avoid unwanted and unnecessary complications.
MRSA – resistant bacteria
Have you been hospitalized outside the Nordic region during the last six months? Then you must contact us as soon as possible. We have to confirm that you are not a carrier of resistant bacteria (MRSA).
A common source of infection in hospitals is poor hand hygiene. We therefore do all we can to reduce the risk of infection. There are dispensers with alcohol available in all patient rooms and at the buffet area.
Perfume and perfumed products
For the sake of other patients and allergy sufferers, we recommend that you do not use perfume or other highly perfumed products such as aftershave or other toiletries.
