Reimbursement of treatment expenses in Norway
I have a congenital heart defect, but I never received assistance. Now I have other diseases. I have no money for treatment, and I don't know what I should do. What do I do if I need healing, when there is no money ? I'm 23 years old and I want to be healthy.

In Norway, the hospital treatment is free.
But if you do not have permanent residence in Norway, nor have voluntary membership in the Norwegian National Insurance Scheme, Folketrygden, you are not entitled to the reimbursement of expenses for planned hospital treatment.
Expenses for drugs are also covered only if you are resident in Norway or have voluntary membership of insurance.
If you are acutely ill, please contact the emergency services by phone: 113. Everyone has the right to help if there is an acute emergency.
